Analyst, Gen Set Reefer Ops

Naperville, IL. This position will follow a hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least three days in the office weekly

Role Summary

This position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to monitor, manage, and optimize the utilization of Gen-Set assets. Working collaboratively across internal departments, the role drives regional and global alignment, establishes key performance indicators (KPIs), translates functional needs into clear business specifications, and provides actionable feedback to continuously improve overall asset efficiency. Additionally, this position oversees the seasonal Alaska barge service—managing end-to-end operational tracking from transit through final-mile drayage to ocean terminals.

Additional Responsibilities

• Own the creation and analysis of detailed operational reports—including both customer facing & internal portals, performance metrics, and regular weekly/monthly management updates—to highlight key achievements and drive informed decision-making.
• Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and internal stakeholders to understand customer pain points, address volume requirements, and ensure clients are equipped with the correct assets to succeed.
• Represent the organization in vendor meetings, business reviews, and day-to-day transactions while building strong, long-term partnerships across both internal teams and external vendors.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot complex Gen-Set challenges, conduct extensive research for specialized Sales and Marketing needs, and support Service Quality initiatives as required.
• Independently manage pre- and post-planning for customer touchpoints, lead targeted campaigns to improve asset utilization, and curate and deliver strategic presentations to key stakeholders.
• Works in coordination with internal stakeholders to identify necessary changes to volumes, or services to fulfill customer needs.
• For Alaska-related business, manage day-to-day relationships with motor carriers and ocean terminal personnel, dispatch truck orders, and handle invoice processing.
