Analyst III, Unit Member, Portfolio Management, Data & Analytics

Richmond, VA; This position will follow a hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least three days in the office weekly 

Role Summary

To serve as the Demand & KPI Dashboard Delivery Lead for the Portfolio Unit. This role is the operational "showrunner" for business engagement—responsible for leading design workshops, finalizing business requirements, and managing the PDCA and value realization cycles, translating confirmed logic into User Dashboard Design (UDD) prototypes, ensuring precise KPI Tree mapping, and driving the lifecycle that turns business needs into stable, visual KPI solutions

Additional Responsibilities

KPI & Dashboard Implementation

  • Design Workshop & Requirement Lead: Facilitates workshops with Business Owners to align on requirements. Responsible for Requirement Finalization. Supports and works closely with the Portfolio Specialist (Unit Support Members) on the hands-on creation of UDD Prototypes.  Ensures the visual layout aligns with confirmed business logic and the end-user journey.

Dashboard & Explore Alignment

  • Framework & Explore Architect: Responsible for the technical mapping of confirmed metrics into the Corporate KPI Tree, Looker Explores (self-service), and Dashboards. Maintains the data & explore to ensure all delivered demand metadata is accurately recorded and aligned globally. Ensures that "Explores" are designed to be intuitive for business users to answer ad-hoc data questions.

Value Realization

  • Outcome Monitor: Oversees the benefit verification process for delivered solutions. Reports on user satisfaction trends and the actual "Decision-Making" impact directly to the Unit Lead (Portfolio Lead).

PDCA Governance

  • Performance Cycle Lead: Executes the periodic Monitoring Cycle using delivered dashboards and explores. Facilitates the visualization of performance gaps and supports the business in documenting progress within Recovery Action Plans.

BAU (Service Requests)

Triage Authority: Evaluates business urgency for all ad-hoc Service Requests (SRs). Classifies demands as "Critical Delivery" (PI) or "Future Enhancement" (Backlog).

Core Required Skills and Competencies

Workshop Facilitation & Orchestration:

Running design workshops to reach agreement on visual layouts and Explore dimensions/measures.

Framework Mapping:

High attention to detail in mapping metrics to the Corporate KPI Tree and maintaining Master Dictionary integrity.

Dashboard & Explore Design:

Ability to create clear, impactful dashboard mockups (UDD) and design intuitive self-service "Explores."

Demand Triage:

Proficiency in evaluating business requests and determining if they require a fixed Dashboard or a self-service Explore.

Operational Discipline:

Managing the "Monitoring Cycle" and PDCA steps with consistency and accuracy to ensure platform trust

Function Specific Skills

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Container Shipping or Logistics operations to ensure reporting relevance.
  • Frameworks: Experience with Dashboard/Explore Design principles, KPI Tree mapping, and Agile (PI/BAU).
  • Core Requirement: Experience in Managing Data Demands and Looker Explore/Dashboard Alignment is mandatory.

Required Minimum Years Experience

3-5+ years in Business Analysis, Data Demand Management, or KPI Dashboard/Explore Delivery

Required Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Shipping, Information Systems, or a related field.

ONE NA follows a hybrid work schedule requiring employees to work 3 days in the office (i.e. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remote each week.

Salary commensurate with experience means your pay will be directly proportional to your background, skills, and qualifications.
